Boredom

life suck
Just thought I'd post for the heck of it. Blogs still aren't my thing but I still read everyone elses ^^. LOVE TO MY INTERNET BUDDIES, YOU ARE MISSED! I rarely talk to anyone in real life anymore since school ended but it seems I've even drifted from my internet buddies too. So know that I still think of you and love you all as platonically as possible XD.

Been working at Safeway in the Bakery, yes that's right, the lazy ass got a job. And been writing and drawing alot in the absence of actual homework. It's been a lovely reprieve which sadly will end once January comes around and I finally turn 18. (Sorry fellows still not legal yet XD) My friends want to take me out drinking when I turn 18 (since I'm the last one to become legal) but honestly I could care less (yes drinking age is 18 in Canada my US peeps).

Dunno what to expect of University honestly. I'm not exactly thrilled to be going but I'm not dreading it either. Any advice for a future college freshmen?

Hope everything is going alright in all your lives, peace out mes amis!

SMiles,
Neo

I.B FINISHED!

lol so this whole week I've been done school completly with the exception of my drama class but hey it's drama ^_^

I have never felt so free in my entire life, I've been able to catch up on sleep and reading that I've been wanting to do and I've even started drawing and reading again (check my deviantart page if you actually want to see any of it).

w0000t I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

SPRING BREAK! w00t!

  • Mar. 28th, 2008 at 11:38 PM
life suck
So I finally finished my Group 4 project! All handed in to the evil Mr.Patterson and now I only have my historical investigation (which is 400 words away from being finished) and then I only have to write my exams first week of May, then I'm tossed out on my rump into the 'real world'... lol

Anyway I went out with my dad and sister for dinner at Applebee's (got those in the US too right?) had some yummy chicken fingers and riblets. And then I finally got to go see Juno! lol took me bloody well lon enough, a month later. Anyway I was suprised by how much I liked it. Ellen Page was brillant! (which I expected as much) and he actor for Bleaker (can never remember his name) scarily reminded me of this kid in my class it was quite amusing. J.K Simmons was just so awesome and the whole script was hilarious. However no matter how funny it was, my favorite part is that small moment where she's laying on the hospital bed smiling and crying as bleaker hugged her. hehehe I'm not what you would call a hopeless romantic by any means but that scene was just so bittersweet. XD the music was pretty great too. Go see it if you haven't! I want a cheeseburger phone now!

Easter, 3 Doors Down and I.B SCREWED!

  • Mar. 25th, 2008 at 10:35 PM
Don't mess with me
SO! It was easter weekend once again (woopie for extra day off school). lol I dunno I suppose my nana and papa would kill me for not being all honoring the christian aspects of the holiday but to be honest (like X-mas) holidays have become too commercial for me to care and I personally have turned to the Agnostic/Atheist side... I'm not completely sure which as of yet but I'll figure it out (lol but my nana and papa aren't aware of that of course). But I had fun with my family which is my personal take of holidays, spending time with those you love.

Oh and 3 Doors Down's new CD comes out this week!!!!! Yippie! lol I love this band with a burning passion (pretty much every single song they have sung is in my Ipod, taking up alot of my puny 2GB). I wish they would tour in Canada since I can't go to the US for one of there concerts this spring. IF ANYONE WANTS TO SMUGGLE ME OVER TO THE US FOR THE CONCERT I WILL LOVE THEM FOREVER!

AND now switch of topic to rant mode! Sorry, skip this if you want. I don't know if there is anyone familar with the IB program on here (it is international but that doesn't mean it is popular). Anyway on top of the hardcoreness of the courses work wise (remind me why I'm in this thing again? Ms. Procratinating Lazy Gal) there are at lease one really big project for each course (some 2 or 3 even). Well anyway most of mine are handed in. Currently I'm working on my Group 4 Project (Group 4 means Science for some weird reason) and I take 2 sciences (Biology and Chemistry <-- I hate this course with a passion). This project is for both course so that isn't the issue. The issue is that for the longest time my Bio teacher had this date during Spring Break that we could hand in the finish project and I had been planning my schedule around that to make sure I had enough time. However!!!!! Out of the blue my Chemistry teacher today is like, IT SHALL BE HANDED IN ON THRUSDAY BECAUSE I'M EVIL LIKE THAT!!! SO NOW I ONLY HAVE TILL FREAKIN THRUSDAY TO FINISH THE BIG ASS WRITE UP AND RIGHT NOW I SERIOUSLY WANT TO BLOODY KILL SOMETHING!!!!!!!! and if my cat that's in heat doesn't stop pining away soon it will probably be her! (bloody thing has been keeping me up all night!!!!!!!!)

*sigh* ok I feel better now. I'll get back to work now. Only 3 more days until spring break...

Reading list

  • Mar. 10th, 2008 at 9:22 PM
life suck
Well my high schooling is coming to an end at the end of April (with exams first week of may) so I've been plotting what novels I want to read when I'm off and novels to pick up in the future so I don't get rusty. If anyone has a book recommendation please send it my way!

- The Amber Spyglass (been reading the golden compass and subtle knife already)
- The Foundation (6 book series)
- Lord of the Rings Trilogy
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow (been sitting on my desk untouched for ages)
- JPod
- The 5 horseman, 6th vitcim and 7th target (part of women's murder club series)
- Maxmimum ride: Final Flight
- Forever in Blue : sisterhood of travelling pants
- Catcher in the Rye (banned book fun!)
- Lolita...maybe, it seems intense but interesting, I'm kinda scared too.
- Fahrenheit 451
- Gulliver's Travels
- Taming of the Shrew amoung other classic Shakespeare
- Narnia series
- Paridise Lost (epic poem!)
- The Giver
- Welcome to the Monkey House
- A Wrinkle in Time (again! I love that book.)
- Killing Mr.Griffin (banned book list anyone?)
- We all fall down (see above)
- Bridge to Terabitha
- The Three Muskteers (per request of my dad)
- As many books from the 100 most challendged novels in the US 1999-2000, those are often awesome.

lol I haven't used this thing in ages but I thought I probably should again because I think it will help with the stress and stuff. Plus barely anyone ever reads these anyway so it's all good.

Well I suppose I should start with an update: Currently in Grade 12 and I turned 17 in January. I finally geared up to driver's ed XD lets just say its a pain being in a class with immature annoying grade 10 and 11 kids. I.B Screwed is my new slogan since the IB program has consumed my pathetic life with World Lit papers, Math Portofios, Historical Investigation, Extended Essays (4000 freaki' words!!!!) and Biology science fair-ish project! I feel like I could almost cry! Luckily I'm out of school in april since the exams are the first week of May.

lol oh and XD I have to wear a dress next week, I haven't let anyone at my school see me in a dress so it shall be interesting to say the least.

Recently I've been remenising on the good old internet days, about all my internet buddies that I miss terribly and hope are doing well in there lives! lol I even popped into Xenolegacy to say hi to the users (ended up re-reading Voyage of the Legacy as well as Night Owls and The untitled fic that 100 Series never ended finishing).

I was searching for Xenodestiny to read the RP's that I loved so much but I can't remember the address and I can't find it anywhere. It made me sad, I really did adore the stories me 100 and Yuna wrote (with occasional extra people) but I'm scared that they are gone. Sigh, I knew I should have kept them in a word document somewhere.

100 Series! If you have the link please send it to me!!!

Anyway I suppose that is it for now. Much love to all of you *huggles*

Smiles,
Neo

I had a VERY electronic x-mas! OMG my parents spoil me TOO much... well lol not that I'm not grateful for that fact.

From My Dad: He got me and my sister the PS3 for X-mas!!! O_O I was like HOLY CRAP!! XD we also got us Genji and Ultimate Alliance with it, THE GRAPHICS ARE FREAKIN AMAZING!!! And I adore the wireless controller (which can be in the next room and still work, I've tried) lol.

From My Mom: A 2GB IPod! I wasn't even expecting this at all but I adore it so much! I'm up to 302 songs as of now (can hold 500) She also got me 2 tickets to Evanescene *_* Who are playing here on the 13th.

My sister got me Kingdom Hearts II, which I haven't started yet but it looks cool!

My dad's girlfriend got me a pair of pj pants and FFXII! heheheh I enjoy it so far through I'm not that far yet.

So I had a nice X-mas, hope you all did too.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, neko_neochick sent to me...
Twelve puchikonekos drumming
Eleven lillianloops piping
Ten rdsullivans a-leaping
Nine es_jays dancing
Eight os_osiris a-milking
Seven yuna0707s a-swimming
Six ladyranmarus acting
Five no-o-o-oir_blancs
Four slayers
Three movies
Two video games
...and a bleach in an astromny.
Get your own Twelve Days:

lol anyway been busy lately, what with x-mas and such. Plus I have a world lit paper I have to write on 'The Plague' and 'One Day in The Life of Ivan Denisovich' and how each use storytelling to portray the theme escapism (I just couldn't pick an easy topic -__-). If anyone has read these they will know that they are basically plotless and go on for pages just repeating the same thing over and over again in different ways. Forgive me if I like plot over allegory. Can't I HAVE BOTH??? Is that so much to ask!!!!

Anyway yeah..

I've also discovered Moviemaker lol. Post stuff if I make anything good.

Yay Concert!

  • Nov. 14th, 2006 at 11:43 PM
Don't mess with me
I went to the concert on saturday with my friend from school and it was bloody awesome! The Goo Goo Dolls were great at the show and played most of my favorite songs. The light show was amazing too. lol I say this at the risk of sounding girly, but Edwin is hot! (lead singer) XD anyway I had a great time.

And now for something completly different

XD excuse me for a moment I'm still hyperventilating! I currently adore my parents, they have made a very happy person. I don't know if you remember but I've been pining over the fact that the Goo Goo Dolls are coming to Winnipeg next week on rememberance day. Getting tickets is nearly impossible now (since the thearter there in only has 2000 seats). But some how my wonderful parents got me 2 tickets in the first balcony, first row, nearly DEAD CENTER! I will be able to see the whole stage! *swoon* It's my very early birthday present but I am so exicted! I'm going to see if I can go with one of my friends. lol I find it kind ironic that I was listening to Iris when my dad told me today.

AND I DON'T WANT THE WORLD TO SEE ME, BECAUSE I DON'T THINK THAT THEY UNDERSTAND!

*runs off singing in glee*

Accent

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: North Central

"North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot.

The Midland
The West
Boston
The Inland North
Philadelphia
The South
The Northeast

XD well I am Canadian so I guess that's appropiate.

Yep it's that time of year again, come September 5th I'll be back in school once again. I'm actually not unhappy about this fact. I kinda like school truthfully (ducks from flying tomatoes) Well it keeps me busy and I can hang out with my friends. I'm actually pretty sastisfled with the classes I got (I did pick them) the teachers... well some good some bad. Let see my grade 11 year...

Grade 12 History - Ack I hate history ;__; I've never found it interesting but it's required.
Grade 11 Chemistry - Hehehe I'm a chemistry geek. This was an optional class, I took it instead of something like computer apps or graphic tech
Grade 12 French - Easy peasy! and I like the teacher two yay!
Grade 11 Biology - Required, meh Its alright but not as interesting as Chemistry
Grade 11 English - At first glance, english is one of my most hated subjects, but I adore the teacher so I think I'll enjoy it this year.
Drama MAJOR - W00t another year of crazyniess! One of the few classes where it mixes with grade 12 kids
Musical Theatre - I have a part in the play! It's called Urinetown (lol not the most attractive title) And I get to play the one I like to call the village idiot! XD will be so much fun.
Grade 12 Pre-Calclus - I'm good at math but I'm holding my breath, it's a hard course.
Theroy of Knowledge (Philosphey) - hehhe I think this will be fun.
CAST - Basically one of those help the community classes. Required but It'll be interesting.

*bounce bounce* Can't wait.

Don't mess with me
lol my friend sent me this from school. Enjoy ^^

DADDY'S TEN RULES. (Guys Take Note)

Rule One: If you pull into my driveway and honk you'd better be delivering a package, because you're sure not picking anything up.

Rule Two: You do not touch my daughter in front of me. You may glance at her, so long as you do not peer at anything below her neck. If you cannot keep your eyes or hands off of my daughter's body, I will remove them.

Rule Three: I am aware that it is considered fashionable for boys of your age to wear their trousers so loosely that they appear to be falling off their hips. Please don't take this as an insult, but you and all of your friends are complete idiots. Still, I want to be fair and open minded about this issue, so I propose this compromise: You may come to the door with your underwear showing and your pants ten sizes to big, and I will not object. However, in order to ensure that your clothes do not, in fact come off during the course of you date with my daughter, I will take my electric nail gun and fasten your trousers securely in place to your waist.

Rule Four: I'm sure you've been told that in today's world, sex without utilizing a "Barrier method" of some kind can kill you. Let me elaborate, when it comes to sex, I am the barrier, and I will kill you.

Rule Five: It is usually understood that in order for us to get to know each other, we should talk about sports, politics, and other issues of the day. Please do not do this. The only information I require from you is an indication of when you expect to have my daughter safely back at my house, and the only word I need from you on this subject is: "early"

Rule Six: I have no doubt you are a popular fellow, with many opportunities to date other girls. This is fine with me as long as it is okay with my daughter. Otherwise, once you have gone out with my little girl, you will continue to date no one but her until she is finished with you. If you make her cry, I will make you cry.

Rule Seven: As you stand in my front hallway, waiting for my daughter to appear, and more than an hour goes by, do not sigh and fidget. If you want to be on time for the movie, you should not be dating. My daughter is putting on her makeup, a process than can take longer than painting the Golden Gate Bridge. Instead of just standing there, why don't you do something useful, like changing the oil in my car?

Rule Eight: The following places are not appropriate for a date with my daughter: Places where there are beds, sofas, or anything softer than a wooden stool. Places where there is darkness. Places where there is dancing, holding hands, or happiness. Places where the ambient temperature is warm enough to introduce my daughter to wear shorts, tank tops, midriff T-shirts, or anything other than overalls, a sweater, and a goose down parka -- zipped up to her throat. Movies with a strong romantic or sexual theme are to be avoided; movies which features chain saws are okay. Hockey games are okay. Old folks homes are better.

Rule Nine: Do not lie to me. I may appear to be a potbellied, balding, middle-aged, dimwitted has-been. But on issues relating to my daughter, I am the all-knowing, merciless God of your universe. If I ask you where you are going and with whom, you have one chance to tell me the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I have a shotgun, a shovel, and five acres behind the house. Do not trifle with me.

Rule Ten: Be afraid. Be very afraid. It takes very little for me to mistake the sound of your car in the driveway for a chopper coming in over a rice paddy near Hanoi. When my Agent Orange starts acting up, the voices in my head frequently tell me to clean the guns as I wait for you to bring my daughter home. As soon as you pull into the driveways you should exit the car with both hands in plain sight. Speak the perimeter password, announce in a clear voice that you have brought my daughter home safely and early, then return to your car -- there is no need for you to come inside. The camouflaged face at the window is mine.

XD some how I'm sure that this would be how my dad will be when I decide to date.
